Two audiences read this site: families looking at final expense coverage, and agents looking at a product to sell. Both are answered below, starting with the honest part.

Start here

The single most common question has a short answer, so it goes first.

You cannot buy a Solved Insurance policy today. Our products are in development and pending state approval, so there is no application to fill out, no premium to quote, and no coverage to put in place. Joining the waitlist is the only consumer action on this site.

If somebody in your family needs coverage now, please do not wait on us. Talk to a licensed agent about a policy that is already approved and available in your state. The articles on this site are written to help you evaluate that conversation, whoever you end up buying from.

Solved Insurance products are in development and pending state approval. Nothing on this site is an offer of insurance and no coverage can be purchased yet. Join the waitlist to hear when coverage opens in your state.

How the waitlist works

It is a short list with a narrow purpose, and we would rather explain it than let you guess.

  • What we ask for. An email address, what you are interested in, and your state. That is the whole form. It does not ask for health information, a Social Security number, or a payment method.
  • Why the state matters. Insurance products are approved state by state, so your state is what tells us whether an update is relevant to you at all.
  • What you will receive. A note when coverage opens where you live, or when the program changes in a way that affects you. Not a weekly newsletter.
  • How to leave. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to contact@solved.insure and ask. We remove you and confirm it.
  • What we will not do. Sell or rent the list, or treat a waitlist signup as an application. See security and privacy for how the data is handled.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy a policy from Solved Insurance today?

No. Our products are in development and pending state approval, which means nothing on this site is an offer of insurance and no coverage can be purchased yet. The only thing you can do today is join the waitlist. If you need coverage in place right now, talk to a licensed agent about a policy that is already approved and for sale, and do not wait on us.

What is final expense insurance, in plain terms?

It is a small whole life policy bought for a specific job: paying for a funeral, a burial or a cremation, and the immediate bills a family faces in the first weeks after a death. Coverage is meant to last for life rather than expire at the end of a term, and the premium is designed to stay level instead of climbing as you age. It is not an investment and it is not meant to replace someone's income.

What does simplified issue mean?

It means the application asks health questions rather than sending you for a medical exam and a blood draw. Fewer steps, and a decision that can happen while you are still in the conversation. The trade is that the questions carry more weight, because they are most of what the insurer has to go on. A fully underwritten policy asks for more and often prices lower for a healthy applicant.

Why is there a waitlist instead of an application?

Because an insurance product cannot be sold until a state insurance department approves the policy form and the rates. Until that happens, taking an application would be putting a product on sale that does not legally exist yet. The waitlist is how we keep a list of people to notify, without pretending we are open.

When will coverage be available where I live?

We do not know, and we are not going to guess. Product filings are reviewed state by state, and the timing belongs to each state insurance department rather than to us. We will not publish a launch date for something a regulator controls, and we will not publish a list of states as though they were approved. When your state opens, the waitlist is how you hear.

What do you do with my email address?

We use it to tell you when there is something real to tell you: that coverage has opened in your state, or that the program has changed in a way that matters to you. We are not building a daily newsletter, and we do not sell or rent the list. The waitlist collects an email address, what you are interested in, and your state. It does not ask for health information.

How do I leave the waitlist?

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and using it removes you. You can also email contact@solved.insure and ask to be removed, and we will do it and confirm. You do not have to give a reason.

Will there be a medical exam?

The product being developed is simplified issue, which by definition means health questions rather than a paramedical exam. What the final approved application asks is set by the product a state approves, so we describe the design and label it as design rather than as a guarantee.

I am a licensed agent. How do I get contracted?

Contracting runs through Solved Solutions, the field marketing organization inside the same group, and recruiting for the launch roster is open now so the field is in place when coverage becomes available. Commission levels, hierarchies, advances versus as-earned, and statement questions are all conversations to have with Solved Solutions directly rather than with us.

Is this a real company or a landing page?

Solved Insurance operates as Solved Re Inc., the products and managing general agency business inside Solved Ventures, alongside sister companies that are already running in production: AgentTech Dialer, Solved Telephony, Solved Marketing, and Solved Solutions. What is genuinely early is this product line, and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up.
